Google Play store update now rolling out to non-Jelly Bean devices

The new version of the Google Play store app for Android is currently being pushed out to devices that aren’t on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. At the moment, the only device officially running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the Nexus 7 tablet, which roughly 6,000 people received after attending Google I/O 2012. In addition to the lucky Google I/O attendees with Nexus 7 tablets, some users of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and other phones running ROMS based on Jelly Bean are also enjoying the new Google Play store app.

The new Play Store app allows you to rent/buy TV shows and also magazines, new contents that Google unveiled during I/O 2012. If you haven’t received the update already, just sit back, relax, and wait for it to hit your phone.
