The HTC One X, HTC’s quad-core flagship phone for the year, is in the process of receiving its first over the air update. The update, simply named 1.28.401.9, is a 29MB file that is supposed to address a number of issues that have plagued the device. Although nobody knows for sure what issues are addressed with this update, reports indicate that this update addresses some battery issues, issues with the device getting hot while playing games or using the camera.
The update is currently being pushed out to the unlocked models of the HTC One X; there’s no word on when carrier-branded models will receive the update.
According to Fudzilla, the update appears to also boost the phone’s performance a little. Prior to the update, Antutu benchmark scores were 10374; after the update, that score jumped to 11290.
So, if you’re using an unlocked HTC One X, check for the system update by going to settings and check for updates.
