The Samsung Galaxy Note won’t be the only with with Note in its name. LG is also releasing a phone with Note in its name, the LG Optimus Note, to be exact. The phone is expected to launch in South Korea.

The Optimus Note is a slide-out QWERTY phone that features a 1.2GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 4-inch WVGA NOVA display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, a front-facing VGA camera, 8GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi Connect capabilities, and more.

Although the phone is launching in South Korea, there’s always a possibility that it could make an appearance in other parts of the world. So if this something that you are interested in, there’s always hope. It could end up in the US as the LG Optimus Slider, which appeared in a leaked Sprint roadmap earlier this summer.
