Did you order a Verizon Galaxy S III? Check your account and make sure that you still have unlimited data!

If you’re one of the many people who pre-ordered the Verizon Galaxy S III before the Share Everything data plan went into effect in the hopes keeping your unlimited data, you might want to check the paper work on your Galaxy S III order (and even online at My Verizon) to see if you still have your unlimited data.

Some users are reporting that despite pre-ordering the device before the Share Everything data plan cutoff, they’re realizing that they no longer have unlimited data and have been forced into a tiered Share Everything data plan. If you’re one of those unlucky people, you should probably give Verizon a ring; they’re aware of the situation and are working to honor those unlimited data plans to those who pre-ordered.

If you ordered after the June 28 cut-off date, then you’re pretty much screwed (if you used to have unlimited data). If you were grandfathered with an unlimited data plan and pre-ordered before the June 28th cut-off date, check your papers; you could be on a tiered data plan.

Is this an honest mistake by Verizon Wireless or are they trying to get secretly get unsuspecting customers onto a tiered data plan? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Shady. First the locked bootloader and now a mistake that greatly favorites putting money in Verizon’s pocket. I’ll be double checking when you S3 arrives tomorrow and think this will be my last 2 years with Big Red. AT&T you’ve got two years to win me over.
