While we were wandering around at CES, we found NVIDIA’s booth where the successor of the Iconia A500, the A510, was being displayed to showcase the power of the Tegra 3 quad-core processor. The Iconia A510 felt a bit thinner and lighter than its older sister and we immediately noticed the absence of the full USB 2.0 port which was present with the A500.
The Iconia A510 comes with 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 (same as A500), 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, Android 4.0 and 16GB of internal storage. The overall look and feel of this new tablet was a little better than the A500′s and we think that it is well put together.
Also included with this new Iconia tablet is the TegraZone app which really gives you a taste of what NVIDIA’s new chip can do when it comes to gaming. If you have been waiting to grab a quad-core Android tablet, you may want to give the A510 a try. We suspect that Acer will keep the price of their new tablet around $450 once it releases.
