BaconReader gets updated to version 1.2, brings new features and bug fixes

BaconReader, the popular Reddit client for Android by OneLouder apps, received a major update today. The update, which brings the app up to version 1.2 introduces some features that Redditors have been asking for quite some time, in addition to some bug fixes, of course.

With the updated version of BaconReader, you will be able to sort “top” and “controversial” posts by all, hour, week, month, or even year; be notified of new messages with the famous orange envelope, search through the menu, and more. In addition to the new features, some bug fixes have also been implemented.

The guys over at OneLouder Apps have also added support for the SOPA blackout that will be taking place tomorrow. If you aren’t aware, many websites are going offline tomorrow to protest the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). Reddit will be one of the many sites going offline tomorrow (from 8AM to 8PM EST) to protest SOPA. During that time when Reddit is down, the BaconReader app will also join the movement and display a message related to the protest.

So, if you haven’t done so already, update your BaconReader client to the latest version. If you don’t know what BaconReader is, I suggest you take a look at Reddit.com, the best site on the internet, and then download the app for your Android phone.
