HTC Thunderbolt owners have been been waiting to upgrade to Gingerbread for a while. While many other HTC devices received the Android 2.3 update, the Tbolt has been left out without an actual rollout date except for a promise from the Taiwanese phone make that it’ll come out sometimes during this month.
Anyways, if you don’t feel like waiting, the folks at AndroidPolice have been able to get a leaked Gingerbread RUU for the Thunderbolt. AP’s tipster claims that they’re not “positive if this is the final build or not, but considering it’s so close to the end of the month, it is very likely.” For your information, this RUU will wipe your phone clean, which means that you will lose all of your personal data.
For more information on how to install this RUU, head to AndroidPolice.
