Android tablets shipments to grow 134% in 2012

According to DigiTimes, Android or “non-apple” tablets shipments are expected to rocket to a whooping 134% in 2012. With Ice Cream OS coming by the end of the year, analysts claim that Android-powered tablets shipments will ┬áincrease from 19-20 million units in 2011 to 44-45 million units in 2012. With Nvidia, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments releasing new lines of processors, the future of the Android tablet is sure looking nice. ASUS is planning to release a sequel to their bestselling Eee Pad Transformer, equipped with Nvidia’s Tegra 3 (Kal-el), in September. Apple on the other hand, will soon see the demand for their cherished iPad become saturated. I will be worried too, if I were Steve Jobs…
