Google has unofficially updated the Android Market to version 3.1, this means that you it is not available for the general public yet. Once you download the apk file, you will notice the addition of the +1 feature and a new security option which lets you set up a pin number for purchases. This adds a much needed Google Checkout protection against unauthorized app purchases especially the ones made by your little ones.
You do not need to have a rooted phone to download the new Android Market. You will need to have the ‘Unknown Sources’ enabled though. We included the link to download the new update below.
