If you’re an HTC Thunderbolt user who has been waiting for Verizon and HTC to update the device to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, you don’t have to wait much longer (if you don’t mind flashing a leaked copy of the ICS). The guys over at Team BAMF have gotten a copy of the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the HTC Thunderbolt.
The ROM, which is marked as build number 7.00.605.2 brings Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich as well as HTC Sense 3.6. Since this is a leaked copy of the update/rom, there could still be some issues that are present and there’s also a great chance that this isn’t the final ICS build for the Thunderbolt.
If you’re feeling adventurous or can’t wait until Verizon and HTC makes things official, you’re more than welcome to head over to the Team BAMF’s website by vising the source link below. If you’re currently rooted and enjoy having root access, you might want to lay off this one until root is achieved.
