Amazon schedules press conference for September 28. Will they be announcing the Amazon Tablet?

Is Amazon getting ready to announce their upcoming Android-powered Kindle tablet? An upcoming press conference scheduled by the giant online retailer for September 28 could be for the announcement of the Amazon Tablet. The event is taking place at 8AM on September 28 in New York City and Amazon has invited many bloggers and news organizations. Something big is definitely going down.

The Amazon tablet is expected to launch sometime during Q4 2011. Reports say that it will cost significantly less than the Apple iPad. The Amazon Tablet will integrate a number of Amazon services such as Cloud Drive, MP3 Player, Video on-demand, and the Amazon Appstore.
