I have the opportunity to use and test the Ring Video Doorbell and I finally have it set up! I will be testing out all of the features and will share soon! I will also share my thoughts on the setup, features, and usability! Stay Tuned!
I just came here to say that I am tired of these videos showing that the Nexus 6P can “easily break.” Yes, I am fan of the phone and I own one. Crappy videos like the one JerryRigEverything published are a complete waste of time.
In case you haven’t seen it yet, this guy bent 2 Nexus 6P phones is 2 separate videos. His first attempt he showed how easily it is to bend the phone by intentionally applying enough force to do so. He basically did the same thing in his second video to show us yet again that it breaks.
We get it, the Nexus 6P bends and so does almost every other phone out there if you intentionally want to do it.
USB Type C cables are the future, but right now things can get a little confusing. Android smartphone users have been using the same standard micro USB cables for years. With Nokia, OnePlus, and now the 2 most recent Nexus devices from Google switching over to the USB-C, get ready to replace your old cables soon and into 2016. USB-C provides faster charging, faster data transfer, and its reversible so it can be inserted in either direction. I would anticipate most 2016 flagship devices will be making the transition. For the differences in USB types, both because they did a nice job explaining and because I do not care to do it myself to be honest, check out this CNET [...]
Nexus 6P #HYPE is at its peak folks. People who ordered the phone within the first hours of the pre-order page going live, are seeing changes in their order statuses. My credit actually just got charged of the full amount of a Nexus 6P 32GB in aluminum.
A Reddtior is reporting that the Google Store may start shipping the phone as early as tomorrow (according to a chat transcript). Sadly, the folks who ordered after September 29 are seeing delivery dates in the first week of November or later. It should’t be too long, hang in there.
And if you are one of the lucky ones who got the order status change, make sure you have a FedEx Delivery Manager account [...]
Blackberry’s take on Android with the new Blackberry Priv is in full effect. You can pre-order it from the US online shop for the price of $749 (Canada is $949) – that’s a bit higher than most flagship Android devices. Shipping is said to start on November 16 of this year.
Specs are also official now. The Priv packs as 5.4-inch QHD display (540 DPI), 3GB of RAM, Snapdragon 808 processor, 32GB of internal storage with microSD storage of up to 2TB, 18MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 3410 mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
We’re assuming that the $750 price tag is warranting the fact that this phone comes with to notch security and the sliding [...]
If you haven’t ordered the Nexus 6P yet, you are out of luck. The US Google Store is out of them. All the colors and storage options are no longer available for pre-order. Only the Aluminum color was the last one to be in stock until today.
You do have another option though, Huawei’s online store. They also offer a payment option too. Judging from waht I have been reading at Reddit, they will be shipping phones from multiple hubs here in the US.
I placed my order minutes after the announcement and I have a estimated shipping date of October 27. How about you?
Edit: 32GB aluminum is back in stock.

If you base your phone purchase on specs, the HTC One A9 is what you can call a mid-range phone. It certainly doesn’t have the high end components that the One M9, Galaxy S6 or LG G4 have. With that said, the fact that it can easily be unlocked and faster updates, can be a good enough reason for some of you to pick one up. It does look like a mixture of the Apple phone and a Galaxy S4 or S5.
The most intriguing version of the A9 is the unlocked one. Not only you won’t void your warranty if you unlock the bootloader but you also get the Uh Oh accidental damage protection. You can pre-order it right now along with the AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint models for [...]
As we all expected, HTC just made the One A9 official. HTC says it designed based on the original One M7. There is also a focus on the quality of sound and camera with this phone.
Spec-wise. the One A9 comes with a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of Ram, 13MP rear camera with OIS, 4MP front camera, 16/32 GB internal storage options, microSD slot, Quick Charge 2.0 and of course Android 6.0.
There will also be an unlocked version of the A9 specifically made for modding junkies, with HTC’s Uh Oh Protection. This phone will get the latest Android updates within 15 dates of release and has an unlockable bootloader. Not bad!
You can [...]
HTC, oh HTC! You are trying to rebound and become what you had been, at least for me (or Craig). Starting at 9AM Pacific or Noon EST, the Taiwanese phone manufacturer is set to announce a new phone that we all probably know all about thanks to leaks.
HTC decided to launch their newest phone, the HTC One A9, via a livestream. The A9 is rumored to pack a the Snapdragon 617, 5-inch FHD display, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, 4MP (UltraPixel) front camera and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
HTC called this the phone “The Next Evolution Of The One.” Whatever that means. It somehow looks very similar to the iPhone and we really not sure how will that sit with Android [...]
Because today is Nexus 5X ship day, Google is now giving out instant Project Fi invites to everyone. This offer will be good for the next 24 hours. If you haven’t gotten invited yet, this is your chance to try out Google’s new service which use both Sprint and T-Mobile services along with WiFi.
Project Fi is Google’s attempt to take on US carriers with affordable call/data packages without the need of a contract. Plans starts at $30 ($20 for unlimited talk/text + $10 for 1GB of data). Here is how Google describes it:
1- Set your data amount. Let’s say you go with 3 GB 2- At the beginning of the month You’re charged $30 upfront for your [...]
Samsung Pay is perhaps the best mobile payment method in the market. At least in my opinion. Not only it uses NFC but it also uses MST (Magnetic Secure Payment) technology which is accepted in over 30 million locations (according to Samsung). The application was only available to Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus owners.
If you are a Galaxy S6, S6 Edge owner, you can now grab Samsung Pay and give it a try. It has been my go-to mobile payment app since it became available. I can’t tell you how many times I made cashiers at my local stores who tell me “we don’t take mobile payments,” go “wow” when the payment goes through. So far, only [...]
In case, you haven’t pre-ordered the Nexus 5X yet, you should know that you can buy it from the Google Store. Shipping starts on October 22 or later. Along with the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Korea, India and Japan also have the Marshmallow-powered phone today.
The Nexus 5X sports the 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32 GB internal storage options, 5.2-inch FHD display, 12.3MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4K video capture, fingerprint scanner, NFC, 2,700 mAh battery with fast charging and of course, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The 16GB model sells or $379 while the 32GB one goes for $429. The available colors are Carbon, Quartz and Ice. If you’re known [...]
