The HTC 10 is definitely one of my favorite Android phones for 2016. HTC upped the bar and actually put a great phone together. I reviewed it a few months back and was, and still impressed by it. The phone isn’t perfect by any means but it offers an awesome experience for those looking for a stock-like software and top of the line hardware.
As of today, T-Mobile quietly took the HTC 10 off his website and probably did the same in their brick and mortar stores. You don’t have to be a genius to know that it has not been selling great for Big Magenta. AT&T avoided selling it from the get-go, maybe Tmo should have done the same 2 months ago. The only HTC phone [...]
In this world, there are people who use cases for their phone and there are people who do not. I consider myself a part of the first group. I hate getting dings on my phones. Today, I am taking a look at a couple of Tudia cases: The Tudia Merge and the Tudia Arch.Tudia Arch
The Arch is considered an “Ulra-Slim” case. It is made out of a “high Quality Thermoplastic Polyurethane TPU rubberized gel silicone” according to Tudia. It offers a soft touch finish which gives you a better grip of the phone.
The Arch case wraps nicely around the Oneplus 3 covering all of the edges and camera bump without adding bulk. The volume and power buttons cutouts [...]
While I was at the Unpacked event last week, I ran a couple of benchmark tests on the Note 7 using the Antutu and AndroBench apps. The model I used was the Samsung SM-N930V which packs the Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
According to the AnTuTu app, the Note 7 scored 143,816 higher that the Oneplus 3 which sits at 140,288 and the vivo Xplay5 (138,706) and the LeEco Max2 (138,026).
On the other hand, the phablet scored 416.87 MB/s in sequential read and 145.6 MB/s in sequential write on AndroBench. The read speeds are lower than the Exynos-powered Galaxy S7 Edge (479.09 MB/s). The Write speeds are also lower than vivo Xplay7Plus [...]
If you’re like me and always have some type of case on your phones, you probably know about Spigen and their beautiful cases. No matter what phone I get, I always get the Spigen Rugged Armor. Why? I love how it doesn’t add too much bulk and how grippy and protective it is. I am also a big fan of their Neo Hybrid case as well which is a combination of a though TPU case and and bumper made out of polycarbonate.
I took advantage of a pre-sale Spigen had on its Note 7 cases and grabbed a Rugged Armor and a Neo Hybrid for about $3 each. I decided to take along to the Unpacked event and see how they fit on the new Samsung phablet. As I expected, both cases were perfect. [...]
On the heels of yesterday’s announcement, Sam’s Club is offering a pretty decent deal on the Galaxy Note 7. Starting today, you can reserve your Note 7 to be picked up on August 19, get either the Gear Fit 2 smartwatch or the 256GB microSD card, and get a $150 Sam’s Club card. If you shop there, this deal drops the price to $730. The Gear fit 2 is selling for around $150-$180 on eBay. This deal could land you the phablet for around $580-$600 which isn’t bad at all.
It seems like only the AT&T model is included in this promotion. Sam’s club also mentions that they will waive the activation fee which is worth $36 if you purchase the phone [...]
During the Samsung Unpacked 2016, I had the chance to play with the newly announced Galaxy Note 7. As I expected, the build quality of the phone is top notch, in the same line as the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and even the Note 5. They also introduced a new color called Blue Coral which actually looks really cool but to reflective for my own taste. The whole phone was basically a fingerprint magnet to be honest. My favorite color is definitely the Black Onyx.
It was only a matter of time for Samsung to add USB C to one of its “flagship” phones. Notice I used the quotation marks on flagship. The Note 7 doesn’t feel flagshippy this year. It really feels like an S7 [...]

By now, we probably all heard a good deal about the Galaxy Note 7. Leaks have been all over the net about 1, 2 or 3 possible models of the phablet. So far, none of that is confirmed.
Today, the Korean company reached out to US media outlets to inform us about the new Unpacked 2016 event which will take place in New York on August 2nd to unveil the new Galaxy Note 7. Samsung decided to skip number 6 and go directly to 7 this year.

ZUS Kevlar reinforced USB-A to USB-C Cable.
I have tried so many cables since changing over to the USB-C wielding Nexus 6P. Ok, maybe not that many when you look at Benson Leung and the work he has done around testing the influx of USB-C cables, but I have more than the average amount of cables lying around.
My latest is the ZUS Kevlar reinforced USB-A to USB-C cable that is currently on Indiegogo. What makes this cable worth checking out? Well Benson himself has reviewed and has confirmed it is USB-C compliant. The cable reached 55% of it’s funding goal is just 100 minutes on Indiegogo. Oh, and the cable is made with Kevlar! The same material the military uses to [...]
